J's Words of the Week #2

Incredible food prepared on the parrilla!
Incredible food prepared on the parrilla!

Jensen here! I'm back for our second week of new words. I mostly picked them up while we took a little weekend trip to the countryside and shops and places of interest were pointed out along the way. The food highlights of the week are included as always:)

Almacén - grocery store

Cambalache - thrift store

Corralón - hardware store

Facturas - Argentine pastries (delicious and often filled or slathered in dulce de leche, chef's kiss)

Mentir - to lie or bluff (a key part of the card game Truco, see my other blog post this week)

Morcilla - blood sausage (look this one up for yourself!)

Niebla - fog

Panadería - bakery (where one goes to obtain amazing facturas)

Parrilla - grill/BBQ restaurant (both the grill itself and restaurants serving such delicacies share the same word)

Tendedero - clothes drying rack

Hope you enjoyed last week's quiz, here's another!

May your results be blessed:)
